Last year’s 2024 model completely revamped the F-150, and for 2025 the model remains mostly unchanged. The main change for last year that really stuck out was the discontinuation of the naturally aspirated V6, replaced by the now standard turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6.

Of these, it’s the XLT that comes recommended by Car and Driver, who also cite the optional Hybrid as a viable option for the amount of gas it saves long term.

The Platinum trim starts at the same MSRP as the King Ranch, and comes with a Premium Equipment Group that adds a Head-up Display and a twin panel Monoroof, as well as a custom sound system. Additionally, a special exterior and interior trim, unique from the King Ranch, are included.

Pro Power Onboard, is another feature, and it adds household-style plugs that can be used to power tools, electronics or small appliances. A Tow/Haul package is another feature that starts on the Premium trim, as well as an Integrated trailer brake controller, which allows for the trailer brakes to be adjusted from the driver’s seat.

That’s already quite the list of features, but the F-150 continues to add to them with Onboard Scales which measure and display the weight of the F-150's payload. Also available are key luxury items such as its own power-adjustable, heated steering wheel, and finally, upgraded front seats and heated rear seats.
